Private Browsing also known as Incognito Mode is a feature that actually disables the browsing history of the browser. This can be beneficial for several reasons that you may not be aware of. Browsing the web in incognito mode is good for a single reason that it won’t store any of your personal information. Incognito mode or InPrivate mode is available in almost all the browser. You can access the InPrivate browsing mode from the browser menu option.
In this article, we are going to see how to Launch Microsoft Edge always in InPrivate Mode. In this method we are going use the registry editor to disable the New Windowmode (Ctrl + N), by disabling this whenever you launch the Edge Browser, it will directly open with InPrivate mode.
Launch Microsoft Edge always in InPrivate Mode
Note: Modifying the Registry is risky, and it causes irreversible damage to your OS Installation Follow the steps correctly. Friendly advice Before Modifying Registry Creating Restore Point is recommended.
Open the Run command by pressing Windows + R and type Regedit, This command will open the Registry Editor console.
Now Navigate to the following path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft
Now right click on the Microsoft Key and Create New > Key, and Name it as Edge.
Now Right click on the Edge Registry Key and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
And name it as InPrivateModeAvailability. Double click on the DWORD and modify the value to 2 and click on OK.
Restart the system once and Launch the Edge browser, Now the browser will launch in InPrivate mode directly. If you want to revert the changes follow the above-mentioned steps and add the value as 0 for InPrivateModeAvailability DWORD.
