If you encounter the following error message “This sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns,” then follow the below resolution methods to fix this error. This error can prevent access to your account and leave your account locked out due to multiple failed login attempts. You can easily bypass it by using any other sign-in method. Windows 11 offers different types of sign-in options for users. Earlier in Windows 10, users used a Password to sign into their computer. Later, Microsoft included different sign-in methods for login to Windows computers, such as picture passwords, Fingerprints, Windows hello PIN, facial recognition, and iris scan. You can use multiple sign-in options to log in to your computer. If you are using a single sign-in method, then you can try to log in after some time, as specified in the error message. Make sure your system is turned on, because during the lockout duration, your system must be turned on.
