How to Turn off Tailored Experiences in Windows 11?

Tailored Experiences is part of the Microsoft Diagnostic & feedback feature, the main intention of this feature is to collect the user data and improve Windows and Microsoft products. It provides more relevant tips and recommendations to enhance Microsoft and third-party products and services based on the user’s needs. As per Microsoft, these diagnostics data help Microsoft to keep windows secure and up to date, to troubleshoot problems, and to improve Microsoft products.  This feature will collect the data based on the diagnostic data settings, and all the diagnostic data is encrypted using Transport Layer Security and uses certificate pinning during the transfer. It transfers the Diagnostic data and user information to the Microsoft data management services and delivers you personalized tips, ads, and recommendations. By default, Tailored experiences is enabled in Windows 11, this article will guide you to Turn off Tailored experience using different methods.

Turn off Tailored Experiences in Windows 11:

In Windows 11, you can disable Tailored experiences by using two different methods, Method 2 requires admin privileges.

Method 1: Using Windows Settings App:

Open Windows Settings by pressing Windows + I and from the left-hand side click on Privacy & Security and from the right-hand side click on Diagnostics & Feedback.

Under Diagnostics & feedback, look for Tailored experiences and click on the drop-down menu.

Now you can see the toggle button to Turn off, click on the Toggle button to enable/disable the Tailored experiences.

Method 2: Using Registry Editor:

Open Run command by pressing Windows + R and type Regedit and hit enter, this command will open the Registry Editor console.

Now navigate to the following registry path.

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Privacy

From the left-hand side click on the Privacy registry key and from the right-hand side look for the DWORD named TailoredExperiencesWithDiagnosticDataEnabled.

Double click on the TailoredExperiencesWithDiagnosticDataEnabled DWORD, and modify the value to 0 to turn off the Tailored Experiences.

To turn on the feature, set the Value to 1 and click on ok.

Close the registry editor and restart the system once.
