The first Insider preview build of Windows 11 is released by Microsoft recently, and the look of this build is completely different from the Leaked version of Windows 11. One of the main and notable appearances is the centered and icon-filled taskbar. By default, the Task icons are placed at the center and if you want to can move the taskbar icons to the left, like Windows 10. And you can pin any program or app to the taskbar and by default, the Windows Start menu, Search, Widgets, and File Manager are pinned to the Taskbar. You can remove any icons from the taskbar by right-clicking on it and choosing unpin from the taskbar. But there are lot of Taskbar options that are missing in Windows 11. For example, there is no direct option to move the taskbar to the top, left, or right. And though there is no choice of resizing the taskbar, to resize the taskbar we need to use the registry editor. This article will guide you to Resize Taskbar in Windows 11 using Registry.
Resize Taskbar in Windows 11 using Registry:
Resizing the taskbar in Windows 11 has limitations, you can’t set the size on your own, just by dragging the taskbar like windows 10. There is only one option available to resize the Taskbar in Windows 11. Follow the below-mentioned steps to resize the taskbar in Windows 11.
Note: Modifying the Registry is risky, and it causes irreversible damage to your OS Installation Follow the steps correctly. Friendly advice Before Modifying Registry Creating Restore Point is recommended.
Open the Run command by pressing Windows + R and type Regedit and hit enter. This command will open the Registry Editor.
Now Navigate to the following path.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
From the left-hand side, right-click on the Advanced Registry key and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. And name it as TaskbarSi and click on OK.
Double click on the TaskbarSi and modify the value as mentioned below.
- Small taskbar – 0
